2020 Sping ThawCancelled

As many of you know, the governor of Virginia has issued a stay at home order until June 10. The Horse Center is closed during this time. So sadly and reluctantly, the 2020 ODMHC Spring Thaw has been cancelled.
For those that have paid for club membership, we will extend the the membership through 2021. If you have not joined but do so before April 30, 2020, it will be valid until the end of 2021.
Hopefully part of the show season can be salvaged. We promise to make the 2021 Spring Thaw the best one yet. Thank you all for the support you have shown our club. Remember this is a difficult time for our country and the world. Stay safe so we all can show together in 2021. Hug those horses and let them know they are more important than a few shows.

Welcome to the home of the Old Dominion Miniature Horse Club of Virginia (ODMHC). The club was formed in 2011 to promote and stimulate the sale, breeding, exhibition, and ownership of the Miniature Horse in Virginia and beyond.

One of the goals of the Club was to bring a sanctioned AMHA/AMHR show back to Virginia.
2013 we had The Summer Sizzle it was well attended by participants their families and spectators. We had over 150 horses at the show. Horses from New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey and Virginia competed, some to qualify for the AMHR Nationals and AMHR World Show.

We moved to a new Venue for the 2016 Spring Thaw Show, the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Va. The 2017, 2018 and the 2019 shows were well attended and set new records in attendance.

Thank you for visiting and we hope you will consider joining us in all of our exciting ventures.
